Hey, I'm Koosje (pronounced "Koshah"), and I am an artist with over 10 years experience helping people to do more of what makes them happy: drawing.
Drawing makes me happy, and I want to show you how you can feel happier too, by allowing yourself time to play and learn in your sketchbook. My mission is to get you going and to keep going on their creative journey.
With this mission in mind, I started my weekly series "Draw Tip Tuesday" here on UA-cam in 2013, to share things I learn on my own creative path, so we can grow and learn together. I co-founded Sketchbook Skool, a global art-making community.
In 2020 she self-published her first book Life Is Better When You Draw It, an illustrated book for people who love drawing and need inspiration. It's about how drawing can make you happy and mindful.

Accordion Sketchbook Tour
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
Today, I'm sharing a special sketchbook filled during the "Capture the Lisbon Wow" workshop I led with Cynthia Morris. This custom-made accordion sketchbook from Lisbon’s Casa d'Amendoeira is packed with memories, drawings, haikus, collages, and more.
From playing with coffee and drawing pastries to capturing views and people, every page is a piece of Lisbon. If you've got an accordion sketchbook gathering dust, I hope this inspires you to dive in and have fun!
Your assignment for today: grab a pen, draw something, and maybe add a bit of writing. Enjoy the process, and I'll see you next week!

When in my 20s I photographed everything. The I lost my camera and life was busy. Then in my 40s a few photos on a cheap mobile...now I'm shy I taking photos and I'd love to be able to sketch my memories instead💛 I'm currently on my 2nd sketchbook and there ARE some lovely memories. I understand you feeling this one is precious 💛

That big monument with Jesus on top is called Cristo Rei, which means King Christ.
